Pastor Heidi and  her late husband Chuck on their first day at Strongsville UCC

Born in Littleton, Colorado, in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Rev. Heidi Denman McDougall has called Greater Cleveland “home” since 1986. She and her late husband Chuck have a blended family of seven children and fourteen grandchildren– plus a pair of very spoiled cats.
Heidi is a second-career pastor, answering God’s call to seminary at age 50. She received her Master of Divinity in 2011, from Ashland Theological Seminary. In 2012, she joined the staff of University Circle United Methodist Church, serving as Minister of Pastoral Care alongside Rev. Dr. Ken Chalker. Her strength and passion is walking with people through the most difficult times in life. Even in the face of earthly death, God’s love prevails and is to be proclaimed.
As your settled pastor, Heidi is thrilled to continue the journey into the next two hundred years with this living, vibrant congregation committed to following the way of Jesus– together.

Rev. Heidi & Chuck officially became members of our church on October 15, 2017!
