Strongsville United Church of Christ is a lively, friendly congregation with a quality music program.

OUR MUSIC MINISTRY EMBRACES A WIDE VARIETY OF MUSICAL STYLES FROM ALL PERIODS: From classical to contemporary to gospel to traditional–we love it all!

We are in need of singers and ringers to join us! If you are interested in playing an instrument, ringing bells, or singing in the Choir, please speak to one of the Music Committee Members:  Director of Music Elena Taylor, Ken Mehalko, Ingrid Dickson, or Pam Keenen.  No Experience is needed!  We will help you and welcome you with open arms.

MUSIC MINISTRY NEWS

Elena Taylor’s last Sunday as our Music Director will be August 19. On that day, we will have a reception for her to wish her and her family well on her new adventures as they move to New Jersey! We have truly enjoyed Elena’s talent, faithfulness, and musicianship during her time with us, first at Organist, then as Music Director. She will be missed, but we know that she will continue to bring glory to God wherever she goes.

The Board of Trustees, on the recommendation of the Music Committee, has voted to hire Thomas M. Foley as our Music Director. Tom will begin his service with us on August 23. Tom and his wife, Suzi, are residents of Strongsville and are members here at Strongsville UCC, with Tom having served as Music Director here from 1998 – 2007. The Foleys have three children: Jimmy, a freshman at Ohio University, Jackie, a freshman at the University of Cincinnati, and Bobby, a junior at Strongsville High School. We joyfully welcome Tom and his family back to Strongsville UCC!
The first meeting of the Chancel Choir and any interested singers will be on Thursday, August 23 at 7 p.m.

We are also welcoming kids to join us in the Children’s Choir.
