What We Do

The Board of Trustees has the custody of and is responsible for the maintenance of all property of the Church, and shall have general oversight of its financial affairs, always subject to regulations prescribed by the laws of the State of Ohio.  The Board also authorizes expenditures and orders payment of bills as necessary and proper.  In addition, the Board serves as the legal agents of the Church as required by the State of Ohio.  Members of the Board of Trustees are elected by the congregation.

Buildings and Grounds

What We Do

The Buildings and Grounds Sub-Committee is concerned with the general maintenance of the Church building, parsonage, rental property and grounds.  It also has supervision of the Church custodian.

Main Church Property

This property is located in the Strongsville Commons, at the intersection of Royalton Rd (Rt. 82) and Pear Rd.  (Rt. 42).  This building, known as Friendship Hall, is the center of all church functions, containing three classrooms, a nursery,  parlor, choir room, offices and space for organ pipes.  Occupying the site purchased from the Strongsville Methodist Church in 1850, the present sanctuary was built and dedicated in 1853.  The sanctuary seats approximately 150 persons and was renovated in 1960.  The Pilgrim Hall was added to the structure in 1953. Our Pilgrim Hall is a spacious area, complete with all the kitchen amenities and a 150 person capacity.  The most recent renovation was The front steps were renovated in the Summer of 2007.

Pearl Road Rental Property

Our Pearl Road Rental Property, formally the parsonage building is located adjacent to the Main Church Property on Pearl Road (Rt. 42).

Royalton Road Rental Property

Our Royalton Road Rental Property is located adjacent to the church’s property on Royalton Road (Rt. 82).


What We Do

The Finance Sub-Committee drafts the annual Church budget.  It consists of at least two members of the Board of Trustees and works jointly with the Church Treasurer and the Chairperson of the Diaconate to prepare the annual Church budget.  The budget must be approved by the Board of Trustees in order for it to become official.

Useful Documents

TO REQUEST USE OF THE CHURCH, the Church Usage Room Request Form must first be completed and submitted to the Church Office.  Once the date, room(s) and time are approved by the Church Office, the Church Usage Agreement must be read and signed by the contact person (as identified on the room request form).  Both the completed CHURCH FACILITY REQUEST and the Church Usage Fee Schedule January 2020 must be submitted to the Board of Trustees for final authorization.
